The stage is set for an epic showdown at the 2025 US Open, as defending champions and current world No. 1s, Jannik Sinner and Aryna Sabalenka, lead a star-studded field of contenders. The entry lists, announced Tuesday by the U.S. Tennis Association, confirm the participation of 10 former US Open winners and a remarkable 18 past Grand Slam singles champions, promising a thrilling conclusion to the tennis major season.

Direct entry into the prestigious tournament was determined by the world rankings as of July 14, 2025. The competitive cut-off for the men's singles main draw was set at No. 101, while the women's singles draw saw its cutoff at No. 99.

Jannik Sinner enters the tournament riding high, having recently secured his fourth Grand Slam title by defeating world No. 2 Carlos Alcaraz in a highly anticipated Wimbledon final. On the women's side, Aryna Sabalenka, the reigning US Open champion, will be looking to defend her title.
